We were able to obtain more pre-cut trees this season. Therefore, we are offering the option to come get a tree before we officially open for the 2024 Tree Season. These trees are Concolor Fir and Nordmann Fir from North Carolina and Balsam Fir from Michigan. Only pre-cut trees will be sold on this day. Absolutely NO cutting from the tree field on November 23 and 24.

Saturday 9-6
Sunday 1-6
*Last wagon rides to the tree field will be at 5:30 p.m.
NEW this year: All guests will ride a wagon out to the tree field and back to choose their tree. Pre-cut trees will still be up by our tree processing area. Last wagon ride to the tree field at 5:30 p.m.
Our team will be on hand to shake and bale your tree, and if you need help securing it to your vehicle, staff in the parking lot will be available to assist you.

WAGON RIDES: Over the last 8 years, we have been expanding our acreage in trees to be able to provide the number of trees we need for our customer base. Because it takes us 7-8 years to get a tree to a marketable size, we have now increased our acreage to about 64 acres of Christmas Trees. This means that our trees are getting further and further away from our tree processing areas. For the safety of our customers and to provide a better overall experience, we will be requiring wagon rides to and from the tree field this year. This is something we implemented last year, and we got a lot of positive feedback on the experience.
Where we see issues with this process will be on opening day from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Based on the number of wagons and tractors we have available and what our opening day crowds from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. have looked like the past 8 years, we expect there to be a wait for the wagon rides to the field.
What we recommend:
We are working daily to come up with the best logistics for those first few hours of opening day. However, our biggest recommendation is to wait to come to the farm until later in the day on opening day or even come on Saturday or Sunday.
Dogs: While we do allow dogs on the farm, they are not allowed on the wagon rides except if they are certified service dog. If you plan to bring your dog to the farm, you will need to plan to walk out to the tree field and have someone ride back up with your tree while someone else walks back up with the dog.
Each year we have a set number of trees that are ready for market. Did you know it takes 7-8 years to grow a Christmas tree to marketable size? It's true!
In 2024 we will be cutting on the north side of the road. The distance is further away than previous years. We will be asking all customers to ride a wagon out to the tree field and back up to tree processing this year. There will be Scotch Pine, White Pine and Canaan Fir trees to choose from to cut. Unfortunately, we will not have any pre-cut Fraser Fir trees this year. We will however have a few Nordmann Fir, Concolor Fir, Balsam Fir and our farm grown Canaan Fir trees to choose from our pre-cut lot for those who prefer to not go out to the field to cut a tree. Even though we weren't able to grow some of these trees on the farm we guarantee they have the Dull's Tree Farm seal of approval! We believe we have a good amount of trees on the farm. Our biggest issue with supply this year will be height. We will have a few taller trees on the farm this year but we won't have a big inventory of tall trees for 2024. If you wish to receive a tree 11' or taller, we recommend signing up for our e-newsletter to receive details. All trees 11' and up have been sold for the 2024 season. When you cut your tree this year, you will see how we have expanded our acres of trees. We hope to be a location for your family to make Christmas memories for years to come!

Ever wished you could keep your Christmas tree year round? You can!
You must realize the limitations and special care necessary for your live, balled Christmas tree.
To keep your balled tree alive, there are important limitations, and special care is necessary. A balled tree (one that is dug up by the roots and wrapped in burlap for replanting) can only be in the house for a maximum of 5 days. You must also help the tree acclimate to the temperature change by warming it up over a 2-3 day period as you bring it into the house and then again, cooling it back down as you take it back outside. Perhaps you have a garage or similar storage area with a moderate temperature that is somewhere between the outdoors, and your living room.
Plant it as soon as possible, and yes, it will need to be watered. A balled tree is very heavy to maneuver in the house, but there are ways to handle it.
We dig our balled trees only on order, so please call a few days ahead, or come and choose your tree and we will call you to come back a few days later to pick it up.
Available in White Pine, Fir, or Spruce. $25/foot. 5' foot and under only.
Order your balled and burlap tree today by calling (765) 325-2418 and asking for Tom or emailing tom@dullstreefarm.com!
